As part of the 2025 International Women’s Day celebration, Alwadata Lifeline Initiative provided business support to selected small-scale women entrepreneurs in Bauchi State. This initiative aligns with the ASPIRE Project, implemented by Plan International, which focuses on improving the sexual and reproductive health and rights of adolescent girls and young women. The project provides access to education, healthcare, and empowerment opportunities, ensuring they have the resources to make informed decisions about their lives.
By empowering women financially, Alwadata Lifeline Initiative is strengthening their role in decision-making, advocating for equal opportunities, and giving them the confidence to challenge harmful traditional practices such as forced marriages and female genital mutilation (FGM). Economic independence not only unlocks their full potential but also enables them to protect their rights and those of future generations.
Through this initiative, Alwadata Lifeline Initiative continues its commitment to creating sustainable opportunities for women, ensuring they thrive in business and society while contributing to a more equitable future.
