Bauchi Gears Up for Landmark International Investment Summit

Bauchi State is set to take centre stage in Nigeria’s economic landscape as it prepares to host the highly anticipated Bauchi International Investment Summit this October.

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has reaffirmed the state’s readiness, highlighting the summit as a strategic move to unlock Bauchi’s vast investment potential and diversify its economy.

During a recent inspection of the newly completed Bauchi International Conference Center (BICC) Governor Mohammed expressed satisfaction with the world-class facility, praising the quality of work and professionalism of the contractors. The BICC, he noted, is equipped with modern amenities and designed to host global-standard events.

“This summit will be a game-changer,” the governor said. “It’s an opportunity to showcase our natural wealth, from mineral resources to agricultural potential, and to present Bauchi as an investor-friendly state.”

He called on both local and international investors to take advantage of the summit, assuring them of a conducive business environment. The state government, he added, has introduced several investor-support policies including tax holidays and a one-stop-shop initiative aimed at easing the process of doing business.

Governor Mohammed also emphasized the summit’s role in promoting sustainable development and environmentally conscious investments, positioning Bauchi as a forward-thinking state in the face of global climate and economic challenges.

The summit is expected to attract major stakeholders from policymakers and business leaders to development partners to engage in meaningful conversations around investment opportunities and practical solutions to economic challenges.

As Bauchi prepares to host the world, the message is clear: Bauchi is open for business.
